HISTORY
We started as a FREE weekly email listing for a local Los Angeles outreach center and synagogue to help
community members connect with people who could help them. After two and a half years the volume of
listings and the amount of people that requested to be part of the mailing became too large to manage.
We then decided to create a website that would serve the same function, but be fully automated and allow
community members to post and edit their own ads 24/6! Our biggest concern in moving to a website
format was control of content.
That is how we developed and moved to WWW.JEWISHCOMMUNITYCLASSIFIEDS.COM .
PURPOSE
Our goal is to provide a SAFE internet BUY SELL TRADE experience for ALL members of the community. This website is based on strict moral, ethical and modesty values.
Many websites today are in the news, in our opinion, as a result of immodest and inappropriate content. Users are getting hurt not just physically, but emotionally, as a result of the UNRESTRICTED content posted by a wide range of users.
We at Jewish Community Classifieds on the other hand, review each and every ad before it is allowed to go live. Once an ad is submitted we check it word by word, photo by photo. If it passes our stringent screening process, we approve it and then the ad is permitted to go live and be displayed.
We have been called the "Jewish CraigsList". The site is set up to be easy to use and content rich. We provide many features not commonly found on classified websites.
